MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – The Moline Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects in an armed robbery at a local gas station.
Police responded to Gasland on the 1300 block of 15th Street on Monday night just before 10:00 PM.
Officers say a man was buying items at the register when a second man entered the store armed with a black semi-automatic handgun with his face covered by a black bandana. Police say the two men demanded money from the register and several bottles of liquor.
Witnesses say both men may have fled the scene in a small four-door maroon colored car.
Officers say just 20 minutes before the Gasland robbery, a similar robbery took place in Davenport. Detectives from both agencies are working together to identify these suspects.
Suspect 1 is described as a black man, 5’7″, medium build. He was caught on surveillance wearing a yellow-orange short sleeve shirt with a white t-shirt underneath and black pants.
Suspect 2 is a black man, 5’10”, medium build and was wearing a long sleeved black shirt, black pants and a black bandana over his face.
Anyone with information regarding either robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (309)-762-9500. Callers will remain anonymous and could receive up to $1,000 cash if information leads to an arrest.
