MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) – Fire crews responded to a house fire Friday afternoon in Muscatine.
The 911 call came in just after 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 about a house fire in the 1000 block of West Eight Street. When crews arrived on scene they saw smoke coming from the front side of the home. One person was inside, but was able to get out safely.
Fire crews were able to keep the fire contained to one room. No one was hurt. The Red Cross has offered assistance to the family. The fire is still under investigation. Damage estimates top $50,000.
