FULTON, Ill. (KWQC) – The educators at the Windmill Cultural Center in Fulton will begin serving tea to follow European tradition.

Starting on June 8th from 9am to 11am a windmill flour treat, coffee and tea will be served every Wednesday through August 31, 2016. After visiting several European windmills who have a “tea time”, which is enjoyed by both locals and visitors, the educators decided that it was time to do that in Fulton.

The featured treat for Wednesday, June 8 will be banana bread.  On June 15th rhubarb bread will be served and on June 22nd Banket, a Dutch pastry made with almond paste, will be available.

Volunteer mill flour bakers will be making these treats fresh every week from flour that is ground at Fulton’s de Immigrant Windmill.  Donations will be accepted for these refreshments.  The Windmill Cultural Center is located at 111 10th Avenue, Fulton, IL  61252.
