MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) – A former Muscatine Emergency Dispatcher has been sentenced on child pornography charges.

Dustin Wayne Rogers, 30, of Muscatine was sentenced to 19 years in federal prison on three counts of Production of Child Pornography and one count of Attempted Production of Child Pornography. Rogers was also sentenced to 10 years on one count of Possession of Child Pornography.  The two sentences will be served at the same time.

Rogers was also ordered to serve five years of supervised release following his prison term and pay $500 to the Crime Victims’ Fund.

Rogers pleaded guilty to the 5 counts. He admitted in 2013 and 2014 he contacted four different minors, all under the age of 16, through social media sites online while posing to be a minor himself. Rogers asked the minors to produce images of themselves naked and requested depictions of sexual acts from at least one of the minors. During interactions with one of the minors, Rogers mentioned that they engaged in sexual activities together.

On May 22, 2014 police searched Rogers’s residence in Muscatine and found he possessed child pornography on his iPhone.
